We were delighted to welcome Russell Findlay MSP to Smart Works Scotland this week, where he met with our team and volunteers. His visit was an opportunity to hear first-hand how our service helps women across Scotland gain the confidence and practical tools they need to succeed in job interviews and transform their lives.
During the visit, Russell toured our Edinburgh centre, learning more about our free coaching and clothing service that empowers women to enter employment. He also spent time speaking with volunteers about their impact, and how they uplift women through Smart Works Scotland’s deceptively simple, yet effective, service.
Late last year, Russell raised a motion in Scottish Parliament supporting Smart Works Scotland’s work, which was supported by MSPs cross-party.
Commenting on the visit, Russell Findlay said:
“It was great to meet the team at Smart Works and hear how they’re helping women gain confidence and get back into work with their free coaching and clothing service."
“This charity isn’t just changing lives, it’s boosting Scotland’s economy, with 35,000 women supported into secure employment over the last 10 years.”
We’re grateful to Russell for taking the time to visit and show his support to empowering women and enhancing employment opportunities that are crucial for our nation’s growth and success.
