We are excited to share the news about our upcoming International Womens Day fundraising challenge, Step Up for Smart Works! Because our goal is to help 10,000 women a year by March 2025, we have a brand new challenge for our wonderful community of supporters: to do 10,000 steps a day for the month of March.
All you need to do is…
- Clock up an average of 10,000 steps a day in March.
- Join as a team of up to five, or go solo. If joining with your workmates, your workplace can have as many teams as you like from across your business, each tracking their steps and funds raised throughout the challenge, for some friendly competition on the leaderboard!
- Get sponsored to complete the challenge and set your fundraising goal at £200 per person, so that a team of five raises £1,000 for Smart Works Scotland!
- Step Up your way: walk the dog, walk home from work, run, skip, or dance! However you clock up the steps is your choice. And if you really love cycling, then you could cycle 10km some days instead.
- And if your friends or workmates are taking part, then make sure you set a date in March to get together for a big walk, to get lots of steps towards your target, and post on social the scenic photos of the walk with your team (and any canine companions that come along), to show your solidarity with the 10,000 women Smart Works helps every year to connect with their potential, get the job and change their lives.
Sign up will launch in January, but in the meantime if you are interested in getting involved please contact scotland@smartworks.org.uk and a member of the team will get in touch.
