Smart Works Scotland is appointing a new Chair of Trustees.
On behalf of everyone at Smart Works, we would like to say a huge thank you to Maggie Darling, who has announced she is stepping down from her role as Chair of Smart Works Scotland.
Maggie was a founding trustee for Smart Works Charity, and since 2019 has led Smart Works Scotland. Under Maggie’s leadership, the charity has grown and reached more unemployed women on their journey into employment.
The Trustees are looking to appoint a passionate and experienced leader who can build on Maggie’s legacy and steer the charity through its next phase of growth.
The Chair position is a central leadership role within the charity, with the successful candidate drawing on their skills and experience to ensure Smart Works Scotland succeeds.
Working closely with the Board, the Chair will ensure the UK-wide Smart Works strategy, is effectively brought to life in Scotland. In practice, they will be responsible for the direction, financial stability and governance of the charity.
More information on the role and application process can be found in the role pack (available here). Interested candidates are encouraged to organise an informal conversation before applying, with details provided in the role pack.
If you share our values, are deeply committed to our mission and have the leadership experience to help us deliver our ambitions, we’d love to hear from you.
